Andrea Thorpe

Andrea currently works with husband Chris in their family business, designing and manufacturing audio equipment for the broadcast industry.  Both have a television broadcast background, Chris as audio engineer and Andrea on the production side.

Steve McLoughlin


Steve McLoughlin serves Maidstone and the Weald Conservative Association as Treasurer.  Steve is a Borough Councillor for Marden & Yalding, who has chaired the Audit Committee at Maidstone Borough Council for many years.

Alan Chell serves Maidstone and the Weald Conservative Association as our deputy chair of campaigning.  Alan is a seasoned campaigner, having served for many years as a County Councillor for Maidstone South.  Alan has also served as Chairman of Maidstone and the Weald on several occasions.

David has lived in and around Maidstone since the age of 3.  Having attended local schools and then Oakwood Park Grammar School he joined his father in the early 80s and they founded and expanded a business principally operating in the veterinary medical equipment sector.

Jon lives in Central Maidstone where he runs a small regulatory consulting business employing two others.  He was elected to Maidstone Borough Council in May 2018, to represent Bridge Ward.  He lives with his wife and young daughter in Maidstone, where his daughter attends a local primary school.

Eric Hotson

Eric and his wife moved to the village in 1968. Their three daughters attended Staplehurst school and then went on to Cornwallis and Invicta.
