PENNY MORDAUNT MP

Penny Mordaunt is Paymaster General in Boris Johnson's government. She previously served under Theresa May as International Development Secretary from 2017 to 2019 and Defence Secretary in 2019. 

Penny gained Portsmouth North from Labour in 2010 by 7,289 votes and has held the seat at each subsequent General Election increasing her majority to 15,780 in 2019. Prior to entering Parliament she worked in public relations, and was previously Head of Youth at CCHQ and then Head of Broadcasting and Media under William Hague. 

In May 2019, Mordaunt was appointed Secretary of State for Defence and was the first woman to hold this post. She is currently the only female MP who is a Royal Naval Reservist. You can see Penny's work on her Facebook page by clicking HERE
